Melksham is around 12 miles from junction 17 of the M4 motorway. (Follow signs for A350 through Chippenham.) It's easily reached from any direction.
The Assembly Hall is situated immediately behind Melksham Town Hall, in the Market Place opposite The Tavern Public House and Kings Arms Hotel. There are central car parks within easy walking distance.
Directions from J17 of the M4 (about 12 miles from the junction):
At the M4 Jct 17 follow the signs for Chippenham A350
At the Malmesbury Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit (signposted town centre)
At the 'Badger' Roundabout go straight over
At the 'Brook' Roundabout go straight over
At the 'Bumpers Farm' Roundabout take 2nd main exit
At the 'Chequers' Roundabout take the 2nd exit (signposted Poole, Warminster)
At the 'Lackham' Roundabout take right hand exit
At the traffic lights go straight on
Go straight on the 'Leekes' roundabout
At the 'Countrywide' roundabout take the first exit into the town centre
Follow the road round and go straight over the 2 mini-roundabouts
Straight over the traffic lights
At the market place roundabout - parking can be either
In front of the Town Hall Building or
Follow the road out of Melksham to the right of 'Aqualeisure' and the turning into the public car park is about 50 yards on the left
Directions from Bath / Bristol:
Take the A towards Box and Melksham
Follow the road in through Atworth
At Shaw follow the road round to the right
Go past 'The George Ward School' and over the railway bridge
At the Traffic Lights turn right onto the dual carriageway
At the 'Countrywide' roundabout take the first exit into the town centre
Follow the road round and go straight over the 2 mini-roundabouts
Straight over the traffic lights
At the market place roundabout - parking can be either
In front of the Town Hall Building or
Follow the road out of Melksham to the right of 'Aqualeisure' and the turning into the public car park is about 50 yards on the left
